The young son of Adrian Peterson, the star running back of the Minnesota Vikings, died of apparent choking this past year, and the alleged killer has been released from jail on bond. It is reported that the family of the accused, Joseph Patterson, put up the $750,000 for his bail. The 27-year-old boyfriend of the NFL star’s ex-girlfriend was charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault and aggravated battery in the death of Peterson’s 2-year-old son Tyrese Ruffin. Patterson pled not guilty to all of the charges against him. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Patterson in mid-January. A complete account of this story can be found here.
